Whenever possible, committee assessments are based on evidence-based research. This model consists of qualitative and quantitative assessments, including stakeholder participation in defining progress and recommendations for change.
Tools used to measure outcomes include:
- interviews and pre-tests;
- interviews with patients and primary caregivers to assess socioeconomical aspects and care provided;
- assessment of the quality of life; and
- review of patients' medical records to assess information about their treatment and rehabilitation.
