Community Volunteer

You can support Physicians for Peace through a variety of personal fundraising initiatives. All funds raised through personal fundraising efforts can be designated to cover your own mission expenses, to support a particular program or for general mission support.

Raise Funds Online

Many websites can help you raise money online:

Remember, e-mail is a terrific fundraising resource. Send your friends a link to www.physiciansforpeace.org. Ask them to make a gift in your honor.

Host a Fundraiser or PFP Presentation

It's easy to throw a Physicians for Peace fundraiser. Past events include luncheons, dinners, concerts, walk-a-thons, golf tournaments, picnics and bake sales. Physicians for Peace can provide materials, such as photos, literature and videos, to assist with your local fundraising event.

Need a speaker? Contact us today about coordinating a staff or volunteer presentation.

Organize a Supply Drive

Equipment that cannot be reused in the United States often can be used in areas where medical supplies are scarce. Many Physicians for Peace supporters have organized successful drives for equipment such as prostheses, wheelchairs, crutches and eyeglasses.

Limb and eyeglass drives are easy to organize, and we are happy to help with suggestions on how to engage local media with promotional materials and press releases.

Volunteer in our Warehouse

By helping to organize, screen and pack donations of medical equipment and supplies, warehouse volunteers provide an invaluable service to Physicians for Peace. We have an ongoing need for volunteer help from individuals and groups at our warehouse in Norfolk, Va. Download a detailed warehouse volunteer description or contact Ken Hudson for more information.
