2013 Taste of Morocco to benefit Physicians for Peace

Norfolk, VA – (May 15, 2013) Omar Boukhriss, owner of Omar’s Carriage House, invites you to join him and many others as they celebrate the international work of Physicians for Peace at The Boathouse, located inside Waterside, 333 Waterside Drive, Norfolk, VA 23510 on Thursday, June 13th from 5:30 – 8:30pm. With live entertainment including belly dancers, food and drinks provided, this festive event will benefit Physicians for Peace and their mission to train, support and empower healthcare professionals around the world.
This is the third event that Omar Boukhriss has thrown on the organization’s behalf. For more than 12 years, Boukhriss has been a friend and supporter of Physicians for Peace. In May 2010, Boukhriss joined Physicians for Peace on a mission to Fes, the third largest city in Morocco, where he acted as a translator and cultural liaison for an 18 member medical team. He plans to join another mission this summer focusing on maternal and child health.
