TEACH

Teach one. Reach many. Heal the world.
Our combination of hands-on and didactic training helps healthcare teams understand not only the how, but also the why of each new technique. Once trained by Physicians for Peace, local providers teach other colleagues in neighboring communities – even countries. In fact, an independent evaluation of our Burn Care and Walking Free initiatives found that local healthcare professionals trained by Physicians for Peace provide direct, hands-on training to an average of four to five additional colleagues, and share aspects of their Physicians for Peace training with up to 65 others.

Physicians for Peace’s training approach is highly effective due to its emphasis on teaching style, integrative theory and hands-on, collaborative practice, as well as its democratic assessment of contextual needs.

The infographic below emphasizes the exponential reach of the training and education through the Physicians for Peace model*, which promotes knowledge dissemination between healthcare professionals, their peers and the community both locally and internationally.
