The lack of access to basic, sustainable healthcare is a growing insidious war raging in developing countries. It leaves many disabled, unable to work or lead normal lives. It leaves yet others disfigured for life.
Physicians for Peace, through helping developing countries and regions gain everyday access to the basic healthcare we take for granted, offers them freedom from the chronic state of crisis that results from lack of sustainable care, and the sense of greater peace that comes with moving from a state of surviving to a state of living. Change begins when we look these shortcomings in the eye, realize they do not have to be, and begin teaching our fellow man to heal himself and those around him.
