Because burns are lifetime injuries, requiring dedicated medical care for years, Physicians for Peace provides training and mentorship to an array of healthcare providers including surgeons, nurses, therapists, and psychologists.

To combat Malawi’s staggering deficit of surgeons, we train local surgical registrars (residents), interns, and clinical officers at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, and throughout the District Hospitals in southern Malawi.
