What We Do

By providing medical education,

local healthcare professionals receive

the training they need to treat patients

in their own communities

and spread their knowledge

among their peers.

We restore and save lives.

We build healthier communities.

We promote lasting solutions.

Because burns are lifetime injuries, requiring dedicated medical care for years, Physicians for Peace provides training and mentorship to an array of healthcare providers including surgeons, nurses, therapists, and psychologists.

Burn Care Training

Latin America

To combat Malawi’s staggering deficit of surgeons, we train local surgical registrars (residents), interns, and clinical officers at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, and throughout the District Hospitals in southern Malawi.

Essential Surgery Training

We work with volunteers, collaborate with partners, and engage with donors to grow healthcare capacity and improve best practices.

Our volunteer educators are a dedicated group of subject matter experts who represent a range of surgical disciplines who believe that education empowers.

Local Partnerships

We collaborate with organizations in the communities we work to identify gaps in training and education.
